The fact that ipad 2 is simple on and off is a nice thing! This cover is great and has a minimalist design like the iPad. It puts the iPad to sleep and provides protection for the screen. It is as well as a nice stand for typing on your lap. Keep in mind ipad 2 is a ""cover"" not a case. In case you need more protection for say throwing the iPad in your backpack or briefcase the cover is narrow that lots of sleeve type cases will fit beautifully. of the reasons I like the iPad2 is because of its slick minimalist design so no gigantic bulky cases for me, but there's plenty out there if that is what you are looking for. do not knock this cover for not being that. I bought my iPad two at launch, and the poly Clever Cover came with it. I loathed ipad 2 at the time, because there was no way to protect the back of the iPad. I may have even given ipad 2 some bad reviews here and there. I sent it back and that was the finish of it. ipad 2 review is from: Apple iPad two Leather Clever Cover - Black (MC947LL/A) (Electronics) Flash-forward several months to the present. I found a black leather cover for a nice cost and decided to give it another shot. ipad 2 time, however, I found a hard cover for the back of the iPad that had a notch cut in to it for use with the Clever Cover.
